GECKO Motion Running Insoles - Performance study
Triathlon performance study
Individually adopted, dynamic insoles (GECKO Motion Running Insoles) as technical element for performance increase in running.
Scientific Management:
Physiotherapist Inning, Astrid Jahn Marktplatz 9, D-82266 Inning (Germany)
Examination Supervision:
Ao. Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Hermann Schwameder (University of Salzburg)
Test period:
November 2006 - August 2007
Examinees:
The examinees are Triathlon-athletes, who have the same performance level. The group is teamed up with 2 Triathlon World Champions.
Measurements
- pedal insole,
- barefoot,
- active sport shoe,
- running shoe + individual dynamic insole.
During all 3 measurements:
- equal subgrade,
- equal physical condition,
- even phase crossover frequency "multiple measurements" (means)
Reference values (means, standardized variations):
- 5 x 10 km standardized
phase crossover frequency using a GARMIN (GPS-Technology). - With the Garmin - Forerunner 305 -
puls, speed and time are exactly specified. - Athletes will get an acustic signal (speedlimit),
if they are outside the set value. - The training guidelines can be achieved by each examinee.
Values:
- same running distance
- pulse (start - km 1-10)
- lactate on different days (equal physical premises)
- time, active sport shoe
Comparison:
- all examinees use the same short shoes, and
- their individual adpoted GECKO Motion Running Insoles
- measurement on force measurement board - video analysis
